DAA Hip Replacement
DAA hip replacement is a surgical procedure that replaces a damaged hip joint with an artificial joint or prosthesis. It is also known as the DAA approach or DAA total hip replacement.
In this procedure, the surgeon accesses the hip joint from the front of the hip instead of the traditional posterior or lateral approaches. The small incision is usually made along the natural crease of the groin.
This approach allows the surgeon to reach the hip joint by moving muscles aside rather than cutting through them, resulting in less muscle damage for many patients.
Not every patient is suitable for DAA hip replacement. Suitability depends on anatomy, surgeon expertise, and the specific hip condition being treated.
